Abstract
Graphics and animation form a vital part of television programme construction. This article covers a wide range of problems likely to be encountered while undertaking the production and the use of such artwork. It offers ideas and advice to a range of readers from the total novice to the more experienced art-trained technician. The advice given is in the form of basic guidelines. There are no dogmatic conclusions drawn and the reader is encouraged and helped to develop his own techniques applicable to whatever concept he is trying to demonstrate.
