Abstract

The world of computers is full of jargon. A fair proportion is easy to understand but there is a vast array of vocabulary which can be baffling to the uninitiated. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to write about computers without using this jargon at some point, so a glossary of terms is a necessity. The following list is not complete by any stretch of the imagination, but it should help to clarify some of the more commonly used phrases and words and has been compiled with the articles in this issue of the Journal in mind.
