Abstract

A range of slide films has been tested for use in photographing radiographs, together with variations in filtration and lighting. Kodak ‘Rapid Process’ copy film has some advantages in terms of absolute colour and immediacy of processing. However, overall, we believe that Agfachrome with a Wratten 81C filter is appropriate for doctors photographing radiographs in a hospital setting, while Kodak 5071 copy film with a Wratten 85B filter is best for routine use in the Audiovisual Department. The choice of fluorescent tube in the viewing box is of very great importance.
