Abstract
It was extremely fortuitous that on my visit to an international conference in Amsterdam in 1987 that I had the opportunity and privilege to meet the legendary Professor Frank Netter, clinician and medical artist extraordinaire. Anyone who has been taught medicine will at some time have been instructed in their subject with the help of Professor Netter's drawings, his work being universally acclaimed.
