Abstract
Recording the details of photographic work in a modern computer database brings many opportunities. Among these is the ability to use the computer cost-effectively to produce accurate routine paperwork like invoices, reports and records, and to provide management with control information in the form of reports, charts and graphs hitherto too time-consuming to produce by hand. The development and operation of an up-to-date computer business system for a photographic department handling approximately 6500 clinical and non-clinical photographic sessions a year is described.
