Ethnic-Based Learner Response to Child Accident Prevention Illustrations

Abstract

This article presents findings of a field study during development of audiovisual learning materials for child accident prevention in South Africa. The results indicate some common features, on the one hand, as well as specific differences, on the other hand, in the appropriateness of instructional illustrations for children across certain ethnic and language groups.
