Abstract
In this study, we cloned and sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of Schizothorax lantsangensis Tsao from Langcang River in Yunnan province, China. The genome was 16,580 bp in length and consisted of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes and a control region. Most of the genes are encoded on the heavy strand except ND6 and eight tRNA genes encoded on the light strand. This mitogenome sequence data would play an important role in the population genetics structure and phylogenetic analysis of the Schizothoracinae.
