Abstract
Chronic headaches, neck and/or upper back pain from whiplash-type trauma is usually due to one or more injured facet joints. With proper testing, facet joint injuries can be objectively diagnosed to a high degree of probability. The chronic pain from facet joint injuries can almost always be completely eliminated for an average of one year with radiofrequency neurotomy treatment, and this safe and effective treatment can be repeated each time the pain returns.
