Pages 63-68 | Published online: 01 Oct 2014

Abstract

Ten preschool cleft lip and palate children were given a speech sound production and a speech discrimination measure. Data was also collected on eight speech mechanism and three hearing mechanism variables to serve as predictors of the two speech measures. Regression analyses demonstrated that the speech and hearing mechanism variables serve as predictors for both speech production and discrimination.
