Candida Peritonitis in a Patient Receiving Chronic Intermittent Peritoneal Dialysis

Abstract

A 59-year-old woman with end-stage renal failure due to chronic pyelonephritis developed Candida albicans peritonitis after receiving chronic intermittent peritoneal dialysis for 4 months. She was successfully treated with 5-fluorocytosine added to the dialysis fluid.
