Increase in Resistance to Cefuroxime of Escherichia coli Isolated from Blood

Abstract

The cefuroxime sensitivity of blood isolates of Escherichia coli was determined in 385 strains isolated during 1973–1974 and compared to 297 strains from 1980–1981. A significant increase in cefuroxime resistance was noted.
