Microscopic Reading of the Ra Test

Summary

The Hyland RA test has proved very accurate in a series of 113 cases tested. Among 31 RA patients only one gave a negative reaction, while among the non-RA patients none was reactive macroscopically. Microscopically one non-RA case was “very weakly reactive”, and it is curious that this was a case of acute rheumatic fever.

Le “RA test” de Hyland s'est montré très exact dans une série de 113 cas examinés. Parmi 31 patients souffrant de “rheumatoid arthritis” il n'y avait qu'une seule réaction négative, tandis qu'aucun cas non-rhumatisant n'a été réactif macroscopiquement. Au microscope un seul cas non-rhumatisant a été “très faiblement réactif”, mais il est à noter que juste ce malade souffrait d'une attaque aigüe de la maladie Bouilleaud.

Zusammenfassung

Der Hyland “RA Test” hat sich in 113 geprüften Fällen als sehr zuverlässig erwiesen. Unter 31 an “rheumatoid arthritis” leidenden Patienten hatte nur einer eine negative Reaktion, währenddem kein nicht-rheumatischer Patient makroskopisch reaktiv war. Im Mikroskop war ein einziger nicht-rheumatischer Fall “sehr schwach reaktiv”, man bemerkt aber, dass eben dieser Patient an akutem rheumatischem Fieber litt.
