Summary
No change was noted in the blood of six patients suffering from chronic rheumatoid arthritis who were treated with 'Imuran' in the Rose-Waaler test, the Latex test, nor was there any change in titer, specificity of the anti-Gm antibodies, the Gm groups, the titer of anti-A and/or anti-B isoagglutinins nor in the immune-electrophoretic tracing.
The significance of these negative results is discussed in the light of the said immunosuppressive action of this drug.
Zusammenfassung
Im Blut von sechs Patienten, die an chronischem Gelenkrheumatismus litten und im Rose-Waaler-Test, dem Latex-Test, mit “Imuran” behandelt wurden, wurde keine Veränderung festgestellt. Es trat auch keine Veränderung weder im Titer, der Spezifität der Anti-GM-Antikörper, der GM-Gruppen, der Anzahl der Anti-A und/oder Anti-B-Isoagglutinine, noch in der immunoelektrophoretischen Darstellung auf.
Die Bedeutung dieser negativen Ergebnisse steht in Hinblick auf die erwähnte immunosuppressive Wirkung dieser Droge zur Diskussion.
Résumé
Six malades souffrant de PCE furent traités au moyen d'Azathioprine et d'Actinomycine C. Ce traitement n'entraina aucun changement ni dans le Waaler-Rose, Le Latex, le titre et la spécificité des anticorps anti-Gm, des groupes Gm, des isoagglutinines Anti-A et/ou anti-B, ni dans le tracé immuno-électrophorétique.
