Summary

Two cases of typical Takayashu syndrome with a positive serological test for rheumatoid factor are described. A circulating antinuclear factor and anti-Gm antibodies were found in one of them. These observations render highly probable the essential role of autoimmunological processes in the Takayashu syndrome.
