Summary
Eight patients with seronegative rheumatoid arthritis, 12 patients with seropositive rheumatoid arthritis and 25 control individuals were immunized with brucella vaccine. There were no significant differences in ability to produce anti-brucella antibody in the 3 groups. Immunization did not influence the titer of rheumatoid factor in the seropositive patients, nor did it elicit antibody in the seronegative patients or the controls.
