Summary
The course of the disease was observed in 28 children with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis who underwent 63 operations. The condition of the patients and the laboratory indicators of the activity of rheumatoid process, determined before and after the operation, were taken into consideration.
It was found that the operations did not influence, in most patients, the exacerbation or the inhibition of the course of illness. The fluctuation of the biochemical and serological tests was insignificant.
