A Histological Method for Measuring the Influence of Ultrasonic Energy on Living Tissue under Experimental Conditions

 

Summary

A method for examining the degree of changes caused by ultrasound in the living tissue under experimental conditions is described. Because the number of injured mast cells increases in proportion to the dose of ultrasonic energy applied, this method is based on the determination of the percentage of intact mast cells in the mesentery of the rat.

Résumé

L'auteur décrit une méthode pour l'examen du degré des altérations provoquées par l'ultrason dans les tissus vivants sous des conditions expérimentales.

Le nombre des mastocytes lésés augmentant en proportion de la dose d'énergie ultrasonique appliquée, cette méthode est basée sur la détermination du pourcentage des mastocytes intacts dans le mésentère du rat.

Zusammenfassung

Der Verfasser beschreibt eine Methode zur Untersuchung des durch Ultraschall in lebenden Geweben experimentell verursachten Veränderungsgrades.

Da die Anzahl der verletzten Mastzellen im Verhältnis zur Dosis der angewandten Ultraschallenergie wächst, ist diese Methode auf die Bestimmung des Prozentsatzes der unversehrten Mastzellen im Mesenterium der Ratte begründet.
