Rheumatoid Arthritis in Both Marital Partners

Summary

No differences in the prevalence of RA (classical, definite, probable - ARA criteria) were found between spouses of rheumatoid arthritics and spouses of matched healthy controls of the same number (157 husbands, 66 wives). The material comprised almost the total number of married persons with RA among 22,707 persons examined in an epidemiological survey of rheumatic diseases in Sweden.
