Abstract
Along with the darkening days, we can be pleased with yet another year of significantcircumpolar health research and contributions to our Journal. As a concreteexample, in this issue we are happy to present results from the Canadian InternationalPolar Year (IPY) Inuit Health Survey, which is described by Dr. GraceEgeland in her editorial. In addition, Dr. Alan Parkinson provides insight to past, present and future IPY activities related to human health in his special editorial.
