The operational forecasting model used in the norwegian meteorological service

Abstract

A two-parameter geostrophic model is described. Primary emphasis is placed on the integration scheme used. This scheme implies computation of trajectories and interpolation of vorticity and a certain function of thickness in the endpoints of the trajectories.
