Abstract
Observations on a micro-structure scale were obtained of a radar bright band. The most important interpretations of the observations indicate: (1) Snow pellet aggregation occurs above and in the upper band levels, (2) Thermodynamically, the band is identified by an isothermal layer and a thin unstable layer (2.30°C/100 meters) near the band base.
