Abstract
In a recent paper on spectral multiplication, Merilees (1980) (hereafter referred to as M80) succeeded in deriving some interesting symmetry properties of the multiplication matrix Pljk. However, if one looks at either Tables l or 2 in M80, one is struck by the number of elements of equal value, which seem to occur in an orderly fashion but which cannot be explained with the given properties. The purpose of this short contribution is to show that there exist additional properties satisfied by the Pljk elements which greatly simplify their computation.
