Differentiation of wide-complex tachycardias can be a challenging task. Presenting symptoms vary, and some patients have none. Appropriate pharmacologic management depends on determining the exact mechanism of the arrhythmia, that is, ventricular, supraventricular, or preexcited tachycardia.
