More than 70 medications have been implicated in drug- induced lupus. Here, the author describes a case related to use of quinidine and notes variations among the forms of lupus caused by different agents. Need for awareness of this uncommon disorder is exemplified by the presented case, in which the patient experienced prolonged discomfort, extended curtailment of daily activities, and unnecessary therapeutic intervention due to delayed diagnosis.
