Sore throat is among the most common illnesses that bring children to their physician's office. In about a quarter of these young patients, sore throat is due to group A streptococcal tonsillopharyngitis. Here, the author poses ten critical questions to ask when children present with recurrent sore throats and follows each query with a brief, incisive discussion of the relevant issues.
