Abstract

Many of us have probably wished we could skip our children's adolescent years—those tough times between about 10 and 18, when the innocence of childhood gives way to the maturing adult. Healthcare providers often become involved with the problems youngsters face during these years, but are we doing a good job of anticipating problems and screening to help avoid pitfalls?
