Motion sickness is a common response to real and perceived movement through the environment. Although this malady is often joked about, symptoms can be serious and, for some people, incapacitating. Dr Gahlinger describes the physiology of motion sickness, discusses the mechanism and efficacy of common remedies, and offers recommendations for appropriate management.
