This trial demonstrated the efficacy of combination therapy with dosages of aspirin (30–325 mg/day) plus dipyridamole (200 mg twice daily) in the prevention of vascular events after a noncardioembolic, mild-to-moderate ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack, and showed a clear benefit of the aspirin/dipyridamole combination regimen over an aspirin-alone (30–325 mg/day) regimen.
