In the Review by Jonas H Fagerberg & Christel A S Bergström titled ‘Intestinal solubility and absorption of poorly water soluble compounds: predictions, challenges and solutions’, which appeared in the August 2015 issue of Therapeutic Delivery 6(8), 935–959 (2015), the following were incorrectly printed:
In the Abstract, where it read “In total, 460 solubility values in simulated and aspirated human intestinal fluid for 78 drugs were compiled and analyzed.” It should have read “In total, 474 solubility values in simulated and aspirated human intestinal fluid for 78 drugs were compiled and analyzed.”
On page 943, the sentence “Augustijns et al. reported correlations with R2 of 0.85 and 0.83 for fasted (n = 56) and fed (n = 28) simulated intestinal fluids, respectively [62].” Should have cited reference [60]. Also, the sentence “However, pH in HIF was 8.0 and 6.5 in FaSIFF.” Should have read “However, pH in HIF was 8.0 and 6.5 in FaSSIF.”
Figure 2 appeared as:
It should have appeared as:
In Table 2, citation [49] for the FaSSIF and FeSSIF columns should have read [74]. In addition, the value for FaSSGF Osmolarity should read 120.7 and the Surface tension values should be as follows:
In , the correct table as shown below should have appeared:
Table 4. Drug solubility in simulated and aspirated fasted and fed state human intestinal fluids. Solubility in blank buffers at pH 6.5 and 5.0 is shown for comparison.
In the References section the comment associated with [71] “Modified simulated intestinal fludis…” should read “Modified simulated intestinal fluids.”
Finally, reference [117] should be appended to the reference list: 117. Fagerberg JH. Experimental and computational predictions of drug solubility in human gastrointestinal fluids. Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis 187, 1–68 (2014).
