Abstract

The cover image shows Min mouse colon tumor with marked vascularity. Human colon tumors are vascular, and treatment of advanced disease with anti-VEGF antibodies improves survival. Previous work has revealed that Min mouse colon tumors lacking the p16 and Arf tumor suppressors show increased vascularity. The study by Gibson et al. in the current issue of Cancer Biology and Therapy points to p16 as a suppressor of this phenotype.
