Abstract
Perhaps the only thing more frightening than hearing “You have cancer” is finding out that your cancer is extremely rare and therefore, treating it will be difficult. New technologies allow the characterization of some rare cancers and therefore may provide clues about treatments that may or may not be useful therapeutic options. The cover image for the current issue of Cancer Biology & Therapy is taken from a Clinical Case Report of a patient with an extrarenal rhabdoid tumor and shows diffuse VEGFR staining in the tumor. To see the complete characterization of the patient’s tumor, see the Case Report by Cai and colleagues. To learn more about rhabdoid tumors, also see the review by Roberts and Biegel in this issue.
