Abstract
A phone call from Dr. Harriet Robinson forever changed my career. It was 1990, and I was about to graduate from the Immunology PhD program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS). It had been five years since I came to the US to pursue my research training after I completed my medicine residency training in China.
