Timothy Pennings is a professor of mathematics at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He directs the NSF-REU research program there and, mentors students on problems involving mathematical modeling. He enjoys activities that do not consume fossil fuels, such as cross-country skiing, biking, and, kayaking. He has a vested interest in finding optimal strategies. Email:[email protected]
