La Modélisation de la sédimentation et son importance en gestion de réservoirs

Abstract

An hydropower system is often managed to achieve maximum performance. In a watershed where the silting phenomena is significant, this type of operation may cause a high rate of reservoirs silting. This paper describes a mathematical model which uses a transport equation of the solid phase (suspension and bed load) to study the progressive silting of two reservoirs Daesti and Rm. Vilcea on the Olt river cascade development in Rumania. Various regimes of operation were simulated as well as their influence on reducing siltation during the flood.

Un système hydroénergétique est souvent géré en fonction d’une rentabilité annuelle maximale. Dans certains bassins où l’érosion est forte, ce mode de gestion peut conduire à un colmatage progressif et à une perte de régularisation des retenues. L’article propose une méthode de modélisation numérique du colmatage progressif. Il compare l’effet de plusieurs modes de gestion sur l’évolution des réservoirs Daesti et Rm. Vilcea de la rivière Oit (Roumanie). Il propose une technique d’opération visant à stabiliser le colmatage à un état d’équilibre.
