THE INSTITUTIONAL PATTERN FOR WATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN ONTARIO

Abstract

Public water quality management in Ontario is guided by a complex pattern of institutional arrangements. This paper explores the history of this pattern and provides a summary of its current structural components. The institutional pattern developed in an ad hoc fashion, and consequently lacks integration.

Amenager la qualité d’eau en Ontario est un processus omplex ainsi qu’une forme complexe d’institutions. Cette communication détermine l’histoire de l’évolution de cette forme et indu une description de sa forme contemporaire. Le forme manque d’intégration et est du en parti à une absence de direction dans la periode de son developpement.
