Summary

Today, learning and knowledge management are part of both the managers and researchers vocabulary. It is often seen as the panacea of enlightened management. Nevertheless, no clear agreements appear on definitions and use of this new way of arousing innovation and renewal in companies. This text tries to clarift the main concepts and their links with both strategic management and innovation management. Nevertheless, it is not intended to develop a exhaustive discussion of the links between all the concepts and theories in the fields of learning, strategic management and innovation. As such, it could be useful for practitioners who are looking for a general understanding of this topic and for researchers who want to enter into this very rich field full of yet-to-be discovered organizational processes leading to innovation and competitive advantage.
