Barbara Santich

Dr. Barbara Santich is Lecturer in Gastronomy at Adelaide University, with responsibility for developing and teaching courses in the Le Cordon Bleu Graduate Program in Gastronomy. She is the author of several books on the history and culture of food and eating, including Looking for Flavour: A collection of essays on food and culture (1996); The Original Mediterranean Cuisine (1995); and What the Doctors Ordered: 150 years of dietary advice in Australia (1995). Her most recent work is In the Land of the Magic Pudding: A gastronomic miscellany (2000), a compilation of writings on two hundred years of food and eating in Australia.
