This is the fourth in a series of brief bibliographies for beginners. The first one, on speech correction, appeared in February, 1924; the second, on classical rhetoric, in June, 1926; the third, on American oratory, in November, 1926. The former bibliographies have confined themselves to a single phase of the work in speech; this one represents the organization of material presented to beginners in graduate work in course 200 of the Department of Speech in the University of Wisconsin in the summer session of 1926.
