An experimental study of some of the relationships between voice and personality among students of speechFootnote∗
This article is a condensation of a dissertation submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Minnesota, under the direction of Dr. Howard Gilkinson. The dissertation gives the following material which is largely omitted here: discussion of problems and methods of testing and rating, many statistical tables, data on students' rating of personality of speakers, data on use of the Bernreuter Personality Inventory in this research, sample copies of rating scales used in this study, bibliography.
