Salvador Allende: A Pueblo Unido?

Salvador Allende stands as a symbol of those who gave up their lives for the cause of social justice. But in 1971, his and the Unidad Popular’s struggles to transform Chile remained largely unknown to foreign audiences. Saul Landau’s interview with the socialist president in the pages of NACLA helped change that.
