I. Romanova, N. Laas & E. Gurova. (2022) the article shows the results of a survey of students of the Department of Personnel Management of the State Administration (Moscow) for the organization of volunteering at the department. Respondents' answers to questions about the initiators of volunteer practices and the motivation of student volunteers are presented; the time that activists are willing to devote to volunteering; about the goals of the department and the possible benefits of the department from volunteering; about potential directions of the cathedral volunteer movement; about desired incentives for students. The results of the survey showed that a significant part of the respondents consider it important for the department to engage in volunteering and the initiative here should come from the students. As for the goals of volunteering, the most popular statements among the respondents were “the desire to benefit the society/district in which the university is located” and “the desires/interests of teachers/students”. Most of the respondents are convinced that "providing assistance in choosing a profession according to the profile of the department to potential applicants" is the main direction of volunteer activity. At the same time, most of them themselves agree to take part in volunteer projects “every six months”. For their potential volunteer activities, the respondents for the most part would prefer “an official letter of recommendation from the university/department to a potential employer, describing your merits in the volunteer project”, and participation in volunteer projects is intended to “contribute to obtaining new competencies for life and further professional activity”. The study has a practice-oriented focus. However, it does not reflect the whole variety of aspects of volunteering at the university (at the department) and its organization. Management of the Personnel and Intellectual Resources in Russia 11:3, pages 30-35.
