From Haughty to Nice: How British Fashion Images Changed from the 1950s to the 1960s

Becky E. Conekin Becky E. Conekin holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Michigan and is currently Senior Research Fellow in European Studies at the MacMillan Center, Yale University. She is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and author of numerous publications, including The Autobiography of a Nation: The 1951 Festival of Britain, and as coeditor, the tenth anniversary issue of Fashion Theory, which was dedicated to Vogue magazine.
