ABSTRACT
This work reports experimental densities and sound speeds at (293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15) K and viscosities at 298.15 K for the binary liquid mixtures methanol + pyridine, methanol + benzene, and pyridine + benzene over the entire range of compositions and atmospheric pressure. The excess properties, namely the excess molar volume , excess isentropic compressibility
, and excess Gibbs energy for activation of viscous flow G*E were calculated from experimental data and are fitted to Redlich-Kister polynomials. The results obtained were discussed in terms of molecular interactions between the mixing components and structural effects.
