Joan Herrmann

Joan Herrmann is a retired consultant child and adolescent psychotherapist. Until her retirement in 2011, she was head of service for adolescent psychotherapy in the Glasgow NHS (CAMHS), and also worked in private practice. She was an active member of the Scottish Institute of Human Relations (SIHR), as a teacher and as lead in the children and young people’s service. From 2013 to 2017 Joan was organising tutor for the Scottish training in child psychotherapy (Human Development Scotland). Joan began her career as an ethologist and has a Ph.D. from Rutgers University (USA).
