David Buisseret
David Buisseret trained as a historian at Cambridge University (PhD 1964) and then served first at The University of the West Indies (Jamaica campus), then as Director of the Smith Center for the History of Cartography at The Newberry Library, and finally as Garrett Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. This varied experience allowed him to publish widely in early modern French history, in the history of cartography, and in local Illinois history. Between 1984 and 2008 he was editor of “Terrae Incognitae;” he is now its Book Reviews Editor.
