Abstract
The straightforward synthesis of copper(I) salicylate from salicylic acid and copper(I) oxide is described for the first time and its identity confirmed by XPS and XRDP techniques. The copper(I) salicylate produced in this way was used as catalyst for the efficient and selective preparation of both 1-acyloxy-1,2,3-triazoles and 1-sulfonyl-1,2,3-triazoles through the CuAAC approach.
