Sue In Kim

SUE IN KIM is currently a lecturer at Kyung Hee University and vice-editor of the Society for Dance Documentation & History in Seoul, Korea. She received a PhD and was a university fellow at Temple University. Ms. Kim received the Honor Scholarship and the Graduate Research Fellowship at Ewha Womans University in Korea. She published her research in Dance Chronicle, the Korean Journal of Dance Studies, the Journal of Society for Dance Documentation & History, and Dance Research Journal of Korea. Ms. Kim co-translated Dancing Women by Sally Banes and Envisioning Dance on Film and Video, edited by Judy Mitoma. She co-edited and translated Cultural Studies: A New Understanding of Dance, an anthology of seminal essays in the field of critical dance studies. She co-authored Dancing Body, Dance in the Society. Sue In Kim’s research focuses on dancers’ ecology in Korea, including reality TV shows, street dance, and intangible heritage with a perspective of sociology and cultural studies.
