Abstract

In this paper, a time-fractional dual-phase-lag (DPL) bioheat heat conduction model is presented to treat thermoelastic response of skin subjected to sudden temperature shock. The skin tissue is treated as a monolayered thermoelastic material. A modified Pennes bioheat transfer equation with non-Fourier effect is introduced to capture the influence of blood perfusion rate in the skin tissue on temperature distribution. The transient response of the temperature field of skin tissue is derived analytically and calculated numerically. The mechanical response is considered and the elastic displacement induced by temperature change is evaluated. The effects of two relaxation times and fractional orders of heat flux and temperature gradient together with blood flow on the temperature distribution in the skin tissue are analyzed.
