ABSTRACT

The sorption of triclocarban (TCC), in simulated environmental media on fullerene C60 was studied, by using humic acid as model natural organic matter and fullerene C60 non-irradiated and irradiated (weathered by mimicking environmental conditions). The effects of ionic strength, concentration of organic matter and of the pH over the adsorption of TCC on C60 were studied and a model for the adsorption mechanism was developed.
