The analysis was done using VOSviewer, including by-country, by-source, by-organization, by-author, by-document, and by-keyword analyses. The result indicated that the USA was the most productive country in publishing articles. The journal “Research Policy” was found to publish the most articles on patent policy. Regarding organizational affiliation, the majority of authors were affiliated to Academia Sinica Taiwan. Angus C. Chu was the most productive author with the strongest relationship with other authors. Patent policy research is mostly associated with innovation and economic growth and published mostly in Economic, Management, and Public Administration journal categories.
